About Green Petal
My name is Petra and I am passionate about living life simply and naturally!
I have not always been so environmentally conscious, but as I got older I started to look at labels and checking out the ingredients, packaging and where they were from. I now scrutinise everything I buy and I prefer quality over quantity. The older I get the 'greener' I am!
My husband, Pete and I very conscious about the environment and products that we use and eat. We are both personal trainers, we eat organic 95% of the time, don’t use plastic bags, our personal care products are either certified organic or natural, we don’t eat much highly processed food and we probably put out our wheelie bin once a month, all other rubbish goes in the recycle bin, compost or to the chooks. We buy Australian where we can and never buy fruit or vegies from overseas. We also do alot of op shopping!!!
I know all this won’t change the world, but it is important to me and it gives me pleasure and I want my boys growing up with the same ideals my husband and I have. As they are only 7, 10 and 14 it is a challenge!!!
Good quality Australian products are hard to find & I have done alot of research to find what I consider to be some of the best.
I have a list of criteria that products need to match up to before I consider using, recommending or selling:
Pure & Green Organics are beautiful ACO CERTIFIED organic beauty products made in Australia. Clean Conscience are fantastic natural cleaning products made in Tassie and Sindhiya Soap Nuts are fair trade and you can't get anymore natural than these!

- No Palm Oil
- No Petroleum
- No Chemicals
- Not Tested on Animals
